We had an amazing dinner!! This was our first visit to the Tavern. We received a Tavern gift card at xmas and we're excited to finally use it. The server was excellent!! He answered all of our questions and made every dish sound so good!! We had a variety of people bringing out our appetizers and bussing the table. Everyone was very friendly, prompt and not intrusive at all!! We decided on the blackened ribeye steak and the paella as our entrees. We sampled each other's dishes and agreed that both were excellent choices. The steak was juicy with just a little heat from the blackened seasoning. The seafood paella was perfectly cooked and delicious!! We were seated in the side room, tucked against the wall. Lighting was a little dim at first but once we settled in and ordered it was a nice ambiance. I think I can get a little loud if seated in the other room where the bar is located, but for us older folks, this was perfect! We will definitely be back to try other menu items!! Excited to see what changes seasonally!!

Our server was great, attentive, made sure he was able to get the answer we needed. The cookie was dessert was delicious!! This place is just down the road so we will be coming back, for sure!

The Tavern is one of our favorite places to celebrate birthday, anniversaries, or other special dates. Their cocktails and seafood are a highlight, and the unique rolls they serve before dinner are a hit with our kids (and adults). Service is always great as well.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner. We were started with a Parmesan encrusted double bake biscuit which was awesome My wife had the chicken saltimbocca she said it was okay. She said the risotto didn't have much flavor or seasoning.I had the burger and fries the bacon jam with peppercorn aioli was a explosion of flavor and the fries were great. Our server Kelly was very attentive and knowledgeable about the different entrees.the restaurant was nice. A very upscale vibe here. We had a good time here.

I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass. It has an incredible rich sauce consisting of a mustard beurre blanc. It also comes with lemon and goat cheese au gratin, braised leeks and crispy prosciutto. Recommendation: ask for everything on the side and just add lemon on the fish. The bread they serve consists of biscuits smothered with the right amount of spices to make it delicious. We were stuffed but we wanted something sweet so we tried the half baked chocolate cookie with a scoop of ice cream. It was way too much but it was worth it. This is a fun restaurant with lots of energy. Our server was funny and delivered great service.

This was one of the best meals I have had in awhile and certainly one of the best in STL! The Tavern offers an innovative take on fine dining with an open kitchen that adds to the experience. We sat at the chefs table by chance, and that is an experience I would repeat every time. The Chef greeted us, offered suggestions, and we basically turned it over to him to serve us up the best they had to offer that night. Everything was fantastic! The chef let us know it is locally sourced produce and seafood flown in fresh daily with USDA Prime Cut steaks. He walked us through what was involved in each dish and gave us samples of a variety of things he was preparing. It was like dinner and show! Such a great conversation for someone who was busy providing incredible food for the entire place. They have an extensive wine list curated by an in-house certified wine specialist who was happy to give us recommendations based on our taste and order. Service at The Tavern is top notch--attentive, friendly, and professional. Every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure your evening is flawless. It delivered on all fronts.

Absolutely delightful experience! I met up with 4 of my besties for a post-holiday girls night on a Thursday and it did not disappoint. We made reservations for 6:30 and we were seated at a nice sized table off to the side giving us a private space feel. Our server was excellent. He greeted us and took our drink order right away. Three of us split a lovely bottle of red zin. He did a great job of checking in on us without being overbearing about ordering. The bread that comes in the cast iron trays for the table is wicked good. It's like a focaccia with garlicky seasoning and Parmesan. After going over the menu and specials I chose the 7 oz filet w mushroom sauce. I like mine medium rare and that's exactly how it came out. Just perfect. It was just the right size steak and amount of potatoes. I finished it off and didn't feel like I was stuffed! My friends tried the chicken saltimboca and the seafood tagliatelle pasta. Everyone enjoyed their meal! No room for desert, but we did go for an espresso martini. Absolutely delish! We lingered at our table and continued chatting for a while. Our server was so gracious and didn't make us feel rushed at all. The manager even stopped by to check on us to make sure we had an enjoyable evening. This was my second time experiencing The Tavern and I am definitely hooked!

This place rocks! My 2nd time here and must have forgotten to review it previously?! So here it goes... Best way to describe the place is an upscale, yet casual, modern vibe. The kind of place you could see someone in a sport jacket and another in a tshirt...and no one would feel out of place. Cool ambiance all the way around. Drinks...amazing. Solid wine selection (not overdone, but not chintzy), amazing cocktails (the Mamba Bourbon was fantastic...I think that's the name) and overall great selection to chill with before the meal. Really digged the specials (filet with crab & broccolini) and finished it off with an outstanding dessert (warm cookie, ice cream melt thingy). All of them off the hook! Oh yeah, had the lobster bisque too...a must have! Sooo...what am I saying here? Get your buns over to this place and don't scroll past it on Yelp!! Recommend a reservation (easily done on line) as it's busy (as it should be!!) Bravo Tavern, thanks for a superb evening!

Service, I have decided whomever is training this wait staff should start consulting for struggling restaurants. This guy was so happy to help us have a great meal, it was the best way to start. We did throw him off a little bit, by asking questions out of order, he was still amazing. Unfortunately our last visit here was 2 years ago. We had 0 issues, last time, we are just not in this neighborhood very often. My order 2 years ago was kind of a sample platter. They do still have this but only once a week. So I tried to remember which protein was my favorite to go from there. I settled on the salmon, I loved that the filet was on a bed of veggies and had some veggies on top for decoration. Unfortunately, it was SO sizzling that I was afraid to eat it, for fear of burning my tongue. When it did seem to cool off enough to eat, I had gotten full from out bread and ravioli appetizer. The server did give me a recipe to make this delicious bread at home and I'd love to be back here before another 2 years to try something else, because everything on the menu sounded so good!
